The cab is an important part of crane lifting and transportation machinery to ensure the safe operation of the driver. It is widely used in various crane lifting and transportation machinery, such as packing crane, ship unloader, rubber port gantry crane, floating crane, off-shore container gantry crane, ship loader, metallurgical bridge crane, general bridge crane and tower crane.

Technical Requirements

1. The working environment temperature of the cab is -20 ~ 40 ℃.

2. The cab shall be ventilated, warm and rainproof. When the temperature in the cab is lower than 5 ℃, safe warming device shall be installed; when the temperature in the cab is higher than 35 ℃, ventilation device shall be installed.

3. The cab must have a good viewing angle. For all working conditions of tower crane, the driver shall always be able to observe the movement of lifting hook, lifting object and boom without external obstacles, and can easily observe the surrounding conditions.

4. The driver's cab shall be provided with sufficient lighting and soft light. The internal layout shall ensure enough space for movement for easy operation and maintenance. Meanwhile, the driver's cab shall be provided with seats.

Cab Design Principle

1. Generally, the cab shall be designed according to the principle of Ergonomics, and the whole cab shall be solid, beautiful, safe, heat insulated, fireproof, dustproof and totally enclosed.

The cab is set under the main beam and moves synchronously with the crane. It needs to ensure that the load and moving parts of the crane do not impact the cab.

The cab shall adopt the fully enclosed sandwich structure, the outer wall shall be made of cold-rolled steel sheet with a thickness of not less than 3mm, and the middle insulation layer shall be made of glass wool felt fire-proof and thermal insulation material with a capacity of not less than 16KG / M3.

The interior decorative board adopts the decorative board of insulating and anti-static refractory materials. The floor is made of insulating and antiskid materials. The frames of doors and windows are made of aluminum alloy.

2. The driver's seat can adjust the height, front and back distance and backrest angle, and can rotate, which is suitable for the human body with height of 175 ± 10cm and weight of about 80kg. It shall be covered with breathable, anti-skid and easy-to-clean materials, and the seat position shall be easy for the driver to access. The seat design meets the requirements of ergonomics;

3. The cab shall be equipped with a set of split hot and cold air conditioning and ventilation equipment at the place convenient for maintenance to ensure that the room temperature is controlled between 18 ℃ and 25 ℃ all the year round. The air conditioning equipment shall meet the vibration condition of the cab and be equipped with condensate collection and discharge device;

4. The cab shall be built with sound insulation measures, and the indoor noise shall be controlled below 65dB. The cab shall be provided with devices to isolate vibration and buffer, so as to prevent vibration and shaking of the driver when the crane is working.

5. The linkage console is located at the front and both sides of the driver's operation position, which is a metal enclosed structure, and protection grade should be at least IP41. The signal indicating device, switch, button and emergency stop button of the operation panel on the linkage console are set according to the standard configuration mode, and meet the use habit of the driver's operation.

Using Environment

1. Working environment temperature is - 25 ℃ ~ 40 ℃

2. The working site is workshop, warehouse, stock yard, freight yard, power station, port, shipyard, etc. with special requirements such as high or low temperature and dust hazard, with static load of top bearing capacity > 2.5KN/m2.

4. The cab must have a good viewing angles. Our customer embedded the display into the small metal shell of the linkage console. The display can be adjusted as the seat turns, and the operator can also adjust it manually. In addition to this installation method, the industrial display of Jawest also supports a variety of installation methods, such as VESA 75/100, wall-mounted, desktop, open frame, etc. generally, VESA and embedded mount are used more in cab cases.

5. Most of the cabs are operate in the high-altitude environment, if the weather conditions are bad, there is even the risk of lightning stroke. The monitor adopts the industrial grade main board, with stable performance, low power consumption, built-in anti-sheddingg interface. In addition, with EMC/EMI approved, it produced with anti electromagnetic interference, anti-static and anti surge.  This is in line with the design principle of the cab. Of course, we need to emphasize that if the weather condition is bad, in order to ensure the safety of the operator, it is not recommended to work the in crane.

6. The cab of the crane shall be equipped with a device to isolate vibration and buffer, so as to prevent vibration and shaking of the driver during the operation of the crane. Our display has also passed the national anti vibration standard GB2423, so the operator does not need to worry about whether the display can operate stably in this environment.

7. The protection level of the linkage console should be IP41, but the protection level of our display has reached IP65, and its protection standard far exceeds the industry regulations.
